These are my 3 ideas for the magazine cover, and out of the 3, I chose 'Idea 2' because i think it would attract the audience more, over the other two designs, however i am going to include a few elements from 'Idea 3', such as; the story headline in an outlined text box.

I decided to choose the title 'Goffs Express', out of the five possible options because i think it's simple and gets straight to the point, it includes the name of the school and the use of the word 'express' meaning it is the latest news delivered quickly to the students. I chose for the font to be bold and in a almost graffiti style to attract the target audience (the students).



The main story feature stated on the magazine cover is one of the latest changes occurring in the school at the moment, and the headline questions if it was a good decision. I chose this headline out of the five because i think it would entice the audience to read it more seeing as it involves them in the situation. I've outlined the story headline, and made the font bigger and bolder for the word 'uniform' to make it all stand out and attract the viewers.

The center of the page will have a picture that is obvious to represent the story headline, in this case i would choose to use a medium-shot of a year 7 student, as they would be a good representative being new to the school, and not experiencing the previous uniform.

On the right-hand side of the page there will be a small text box showing a few of the contents in the magazine.

Out of these three contents pages, i am going to choose 'idea 3', because the title font would match the magazine cover font. I have decided to make it big and bold, aswell as, on an angle to stand out, it wouldn't be like a typical contents page that way. Surrounding this would be the page numbers and the titles of the articles on those pages, and in addition I would include smaller images in relevance to the other stories inside the magazine.

Introduction-(summer work)

Name: Rachael Alisedaghat

I would say that I'm just a normal everyday 16 year old girl, I like to go out as much as possible, and seem to  put work off as long as i can, but always get it done in the end.=P

I live in Edmonton but am a new student at Goffs 6th form, so life is gonna be hectic. Juggling school work and my social life will be a challenge I've never really had to face.

I have chosen media studies as one of my A level options, I've never studied it before, however I've always been intrigued by the fact that I could simply explore the different types of media and the reasons why the devices used throughout it are displayed, and what effect they have on the viewers.

I have to pick 3 artists that i like, and to be completely honest, i love so many it's hard to pick favourites. I don't like a specific genre, just anything with a beat will do me fine.:) one things for sure, i couldn't live without music!!!!

1. KATY PERRY♥

• 'Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (Katy Perry), is a 25 year old singer/songwriter, and has been since the age of 15. She has produced massive hits such as; 'I kissed a girl','Hot n Cold', and her most recent 'California Gurls' which were in the charts for weeks straight. She has won 16 awards and been nominated 78 times,not only for her amazing sound, but also for her unique and quirky style, aswell as being nominated for awards such as 'best female hottie'. Her name will never be forgotten.:]

        

2. LADY GAGA♥

• Well it is undeniable to say Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (Lady Gaga) is one of the most talked about people in society, not all is good, in fact some questions her talent, and if she's all an act, however, she is known for her strange/unique style and people commend her for having the courage to do so. Her latest album 'The Fame' has sold over 12million copies world wide, and was nominated 'Album of the Year' as well as winning the Grammy award for 'Best Electronic/Dance Album'. We're left speechless by Lady Gaga.

3. EMINEM♥

• Eminem is the stage name of Marshall Bruce Mathers III, a 38 year old American rapper, record producer and actor.Eminem is one of the most well known and liked rapers due to what the stories behind his songs are. Instead of following the stereotype of rappers, he doesn't talk about sex, drugs, girls, and money, he talks about his life and general obstacles you have to face, one of his biggest inspirations is his daughter. You could say he's getting old, but his career definately isn't quite over yet.
